Simulation exercise: Peste des petits ruminants in Türkiye
4 to 8 September 2023
Dr. Ahmet GÜMEN, Delegate to WOAH for Türkiye, is informing the WOAH that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will organize a simulation exercise for peste des petits ruminants between 4-8 September 2023, in Çanakkale, in order to update the information about the disease, with the intention to gain the freedom status from PPR.
The objectives of the simulation are to test the PPR Contingency Plan and to train staff on its implementation, to test operational response arrangements, to examine the liaison and interdependencies between the key operational partners, and to consider the economic impacts.
The simulation will include table-top and field exercises.
