Simulation Exercise: High pathogenicity avian influenza and African swine fever in the Czech Republic

5 to 8 June 2023

Dr. Zbyněk Semerád, Delegate to WOAH and Director General of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic, Prague, informed WOAH that a simulation exercise on high pathogenicity avian influenza and African swine fever will take place in the Military Training Area Libavá, Olomouc Region, Czech Republic, from 5 to 8 June 2023.
 
The aim of this exercise is to apply emergency measures in compliance with contingency plans for high pathogenicity avian influenza and African swine fever. This simulation exercise will include both theoretical and practical training of employees of the Central and Regional Veterinary Administration in co-operation with the Veterinary Military Service of the Army of the Czech Republic.
