Simulation Exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Slovakia

Dr Jozef Bires, Director and Chief Veterinary Officer, State Veterinary and Food Administration of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease (FMD) will take place on 16 June 2011 in Slovakia.

This simulation exercise will be conducted by the National Centre for Diseases Control of the Slovak Republic with the participation of the Local Center for Diseases Control of Topo??any, the FMD National Reference Laboratory and the State Veterinary Institute in Zvolen.
