Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease, highly pathogenic avian influenza and African swine fever in the Czech Republic

Dr Zbyněk Semerád, Delegate to the OIE and Director General of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease, highly pathogenic avian influenza and African swine fever will take place from 23 to 26 May 2022 in the Boletice Military Training Area (South Bohemian region, Czech Republic).
This simulation exercise will include the theoretical and practical training of personnel from the Regional and Central Veterinary Administrations, in co-operation with the Veterinary Military Service of the Army of the Czech Republic. The aim of this exercise is to apply emergency measures in compliance with contingency plans for Foot and mouth disease, Highly pathogenic avian influenza and African swine fever.
