Simulation exercise: African swine fever and foot and mouth disease in Czech Republic

Dr Milan Malena, Director General of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Agriculture, Praha, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on African swine fever and foot and mouth disease is taking place in the Military Training Area Boletice, Southern Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, from 17 to 18 June 2014.

This simulation exercise includes theoretical and practical training of personnel of Regional and Central Veterinary Administration in cooperation with the Veterinary Military Service of the Army of the Czech Republic. The aim of this exercise is to apply emergency measures in compliance with contingency plans for African swine fever and foot and mouth disease.
