IT Service Desk Engineer – Digital Transformation and Information Systems Department – WOAH HQ Paris, France

Positioning and reporting   Under the authority of the Director General and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Digital Transformation and Information Systems Department (DTIS) and the functional supervision of the Infrastructure and Workstation Manager and in close collaboration with the DTIS team members.
Job purpose   The IT Service Desk Engineer is the primary point of contact for WOAH staff for all their IT support needs, related to office automation, telephony, and end user equipment. He/she is responsible for the provisioning of end user equipment to enable WOAH staff to undertake their role and responsibilities. He/she will provide local support to the Organization’s staff. He/she will be responsible for the installation, organization, maintenance, and evolution of the end user technical environment.  
Missions and activities  

The IT Service Desk Engineer will specifically perform the following duties:  

Proximity support to users  
– Installation, and configuration of the various hardware equipment and software applications made available to users (this includes but is not limited to desktops, laptops and mobile devices)
– Manage support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance of equipment for on-site or remote users via a ticketing service desk solution;
– Introducing new users to IT resources and getting started training;
– Raising users’ awareness of IT security, monitoring and monitoring of users’ practices in accordance WOAH IT security policies;
– Follow-up of requests and incidents; communication on the subject to users;
– Support for IP telephony management, and mobile devices;
– First-level support for business applications;
– Assistance and technical support to users for the use of videoconferencing facilities, including preparation, installation and troubleshooting;
– Delivery of user account and access management for WOAH staff and guest users.

IT Asset Management
– Participation in the purchase of equipment, its maintenance, its troubleshooting;
– Follow-up of the purchase of consumables;
– Anticipation of needs and inventory management.
Qualifications and Experience  

Qualifications
• An undergraduate degree (Bac +2 or similar) in computer science, service desk engineering, networks, telecommunications, information technology or related field would be an asset;
• At least two 2 years of professional experience in IT support, service desk engineering, or other technical role.

Requirements  
Technical skills :
• Knowledge of the hardware and software architecture of a workstation (Windows Operating Systems)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft tools (Office 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, etc.);
• Good knowledge of videoconferencing systems (ZOOM, Microsoft Teams);
• General knowledge of systems and network;
• IP Telephony and mobile devices basics;
• Video Projection Systems basics;
• Basic knowledge of computer security;
• Use of remote support tools.

Additional skills    
• Good knowledge of English and French language, both written and spoken.

Interpersonal skills    
• Strong sense of customer service;
• Sense of confidentiality;
• Strong problem solving skills ;
• Excellent communication skills, listening skills and willingness to learn;
• Ability to manage time and priorities, sense of organization, ability to manage multiple requests;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and dynamic team environment.
Working conditions  
– Salary: Monthly base salary 2500€ net/month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
– Contract duration: Two (2) years fixed term appointment, with the possibility of renewal.
The position is full-time and based at WOAH Headquarters in Paris, France.
It involves working on a screen and sitting for extended periods of time, as well as frequent travel around the Organization’s premises.
