Case Definition for HPAI in Cattle

For the purposes of notification to WOAH, high pathogenicity avian influenza in cattle is defined as an infection of bovines (Bos taurus) with influenza A viruses of high pathogenicity in poultry as defined by the WOAH Terrestrial Manual Chapter 3.3.4.
