The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, founded as OIE) Regional Commission for Europe agreed “Long-distance transport of live animals: WOAH’s standards and best practices including societal perception and communication aspects” as the Technical Item I to be presented during the 30th Conference of the Regional Commission in Catania (Italy), from 3 to 7 October 2022. This report gives the results of the questionnaire distributed to WOAH Members of the Regional Commission for Europe from 21 June to 8 July 2022. The persons responsible for completing the questionnaire were mainly WOAH Delegates, National Focal Points for animal welfare or National Contact Points for long-distance transportation.
