Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Argentina-2
Dr Luis Ángel Carné, Vice-president of National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (SENASA), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease (FMD) will take place in the City of Ituzaingó, in the Province Corrientes, from 25 to 28 August 2015.
The simulation exercise, organized by SENASA, is intended to train professionals of this National Service and to maintain the capacity to respond to a health event.
This activity is part of SENASA Annual Training Programme and will be organised by the Department of Epidemiology and Risk Analysis as well as by the Foot and Mouth Disease Programme, under the authority of the National Director of Animal Health.
The activity will be semi-presential, with the use of the Virtual Platform of SENASA, for contents of theoretical training, while the simulation exercise in real time will be in the field.
