Simulation exercise: Viral haemorrhagic septicaemia in Australia

10 to 18 November 2003

Dr Gardner Murray, Chief Veterinary Officer, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Australia (AFFA), informed us that a national aquatic health simulation, called Exercise Tethys, will take place in his country between 10 and 18 November 2003.

This exercise is to simulate an outbreak of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia. It is a desk-top exercise in a number of States/Territories aiming at evaluating the inter-jurisdictional communication and cooperation, in response to an emergency disease incident.
