Sharing other important animal health information with WOAH

WOAH ensures that veterinarians, policymakers, and the public have access to accurate, up-to-date animal health information obtained through a structured reporting framework. This is essential for safeguarding animal health, supporting safe trade, and protecting public health worldwide.
To achieve this, WOAH Members must report information about WOAH listed diseases, emerging diseases, and animal population data to WOAH through the World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS).
WOAH Members are also encouraged to share information about other important animal health information with WOAH and with other Members. This is outlined in Article 1.1.5 of the Terrestrial and Aquatic Animal Health Codes.
