Simulation exercise: Foot and mouth disease in Peru

Dr Oscar M. Domínguez Falcón, Director General for Animal Health, National Animal Health Service (SENASA), Ministry of Agriculture of Peru, informed the OIE that SENASA will carry out a field simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease from 11 to 13 August 2009 in Puno city. The exercise is called "Response exercise on a possible occurrence of a vesicular disease at the border" and its aim will be to strengthen the management capacities of private and public sector professionals.
