Guidance for the interpretation of the OIE Terrestrial Code definition of emerging disease

This guidance document is intended to be used by OIE-selected experts when undertaking an
assessment to determine if an infectious disease meets the OIE definition of emerging disease as
described in the Glossary of the Terrestrial Code.

The definition of emerging disease only applies to diseases not already included in the OIE List.
