Global Control of African Swine Fever: A GF-TADs Initiative 2026–2030
This update to the ASF Global Initiative reviews the progress made over the past five years, highlights the core remaining strategic challenges, and sets out the way forward for the next five years. The purpose of the ASF GI is to establish a collaborative framework under the GF-TADs platform that fosters an enabling environment – technically, politically and financially – for countries and regions to design and implement their own ASF control programmes. By promoting coordination, knowledge sharing and strategic partnerships, the initiative seeks to empower countries, as well as public and private stakeholders at all levels, to develop effective and sustainable responses to ASF, tailored to their specific contexts and capacities.
